P: Population: The underserved population in a community setting in Phoenix, Arizona.

I: Intervention: Distribute oral health care kits, including educational information, to the underserved population.

C: Compare the baseline self-survey of those who accepted an oral health care kit to their post-survey at eight weeks.

O:

  1. Impact on oral health care kit from the self-survey (baseline and at eight weeks).
  2. Did the participant(s) use the kit? (Yes or No)
  3. Demographic data: Gender, Age, Residency (Apt? Home? Other?)

T: Timeline: Eight weeks. Oral health care kits will be distributed on the first day or two, and data will be collected from participants on week eight.

  1. How does providing oral health care kits affect the oral health status of the underserved population over 8 weeks?
  2. What changes in oral hygiene practices are observed among the underserved population after receiving oral health care kits?
  3. Has there been oral health improvement?

Inclusion Criteria:

  1. Underserved population
  2. Adults equal or over 18 years old

Exclusion Criteria:

  1. People not attending community settings and/or project location
  2. Less than 18 years old

  1. Independent
    • Distribution of Oral health care kit
  2. Dependent
    • Use of oral health care kit
    • Was the kit beneficial
    • Demographic data
